Estonia and Uzbekistan
Diplomatic relations between Estonia and Uzbekistan were established on October 10, 1994.
Uzbekistan is represented in Estonia by non-resident ambassador Timur Rahmanov, who resides in Riga. Ambassador Rahmanov presented his credentials to President Alar Karis on April 16, 2025.
Bilateral Relations
High-Level Visits
- Chancellor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Jonatan Vseviov made an official visit to Tashkent in November 2023.
- Deputy Chancellor of the Ministry of Climate Sander Salmu visited Tashkent in November 2023 together with a business delegation.
- Director General of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Department at the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Marge Mardisalu-Kahari, visited Uzbekistan in February 2023 for political consultations.
- Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure Taavi Aas made an official visit to Tashkent on May 30–31, 2019. The Minister was accompanied by a business delegation, and a business seminar was organized.
- Minister of Foreign Affairs Urmas Paet made an official visit to Uzbekistan on March 27–28, 2014, accompanied by a business delegation; a business forum was held.
- Prime Minister Andrus Ansip took an official visit to Uzbekistan on November 1–3, 2010. The Prime Minister was accompanied by a business delegation, and a business seminar was held.
- Three rounds of political consultations have taken place between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Estonia and Uzbekistan: in 2011 in Tashkent, in 2016 in Tallinn, and in 2023 in Tashkent.
