Diplomatic relations between Estonia and Tajikistan were established on February 23, 2006.

Key Visits

• May 6–8, 2013 — Official visit of Prime Minister Andrus Ansip to Tajikistan. The Prime Minister was accompanied by a business delegation; in Dushanbe, the prime ministers of Estonia and Tajikistan opened a business forum.
• January 11–13, 2012 — Official visit of Foreign Minister Urmas Paet to Tajikistan.
• February 13, 2009 — Visit of President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to Estonia.

Political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Estonia and Tajikistan took place in 2019 in Dushanbe.
