On March 12, 2019, International Digitization Forum: Estonian Experience, dedicated to the use of digital technologies, was held in Astana. The forum was held in International Technopark for IT startups “Astana Hub”.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Health, Education, Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan, delegation of Tallinn Technical University, JSC Holding Zerde and others.
Welcoming remarks were made by the Rector of Tallinn Technical University TalTech, Jaak Aaviksoo, who previously held the posts of Minister of Education and Minister of Defense of the Republic of Estonia.
At the forum, the Estonian delegation also shared its experience in introducing an electronic reservation system at border crossings, in digitizing ports, as well as experience in ensuring cybersecurity.
Following the forum, Tallinn Technical University signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the International Technopark for IT Startups Astana Hub. A memorandum of cooperation with TalTech was also signed by the Innovative University of Eurasia and the Center for Support of Civil Initiatives.
